Did You Know

John 10:7-9 is another reason why we like the name Sheep Gate Pool.  Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved."

CrossOne of the things we are trying to do with this website is promote healing.  We have prayed that Jesus uses this site as His vessel to heal those that want to be made well.  We chose the passage of the Sheep Gate pool because it is unique to the Gospels and it is where Jesus asks the curious question, "Do you want to be made well?"

Here is the passage from John 5:1-9...

After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.

Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me."

Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.

We pray to God that this same angel comes and stirs the waters again, just point and click and have faith... Even though it's the 21st century Hebrews 13:7 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." He asks the same question to you...

"Do you want to be made well?"

Need healing?

This website is not a magic formula, nor do we feel that Jesus will heal everyone.  In 2 Corinthians 12:9 Paul the Apostle asks Jesus to heal the "Thorn in his flesh", yet Jesus answered, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."  We also believe Jesus uses doctors and medicine to promote healing and well being.  In addition to physical healing there can also be emotional and spiritual healing.  As Jesus stated in John 5:24-25...

Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live."

Listen, Jesus can heal you! 1 Peter 2:24 says, "He Himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." Even though it's the 21st century Hebrews 13:7 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." He asks the same question of you that he does in John 5:1-9...

Have Faith and Click

You might say, "How can clicking a mouse on a computer screen heal me?"

Listen, Acts 5:15 says "As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by." Acts 19:11 says, "God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even hankerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them." In John 9:6... "Jesus spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes." "Go", he told him, "Wash in the Pool of Siloam." So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

God healed through shadows, hankerchiefs, and mud... he can't use a computer?  Don't let this surprise you!  Don't think by our power or godliness we can make you well!  The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will glorify his servant Jesus, by faith in the name of Jesus is one healed.  It is in Jesus name and the faith that comes through him that will give complete healing.

Point at the figure and click, have faith that God knows what is best for you, because he loves you!

Today's Verse

“Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
